The Reviewing functionalities of your Limecraft Workspace can be used for commenting, tagging, and setting the verification status. This article demonstrates how to use the commenting functionality to effectively collaborate with your team members.
To use the commenting and collaboration pane, navigate to the Review application on your Limecraft Workspace as explained in this article.
Collaborate with the Use of Commenting
Commenting is a powerful way to collaborate with the team and across departments. Use hashtags and tags to reach the right person and make the clips and interesting sections searchable.
You can add general comments, comments with a time code and with a reference to a specific region of interest in the frame. Let's have a closer look below.
Adding Comments related to a specific Region of Interest
Comment a specific area on a frame by clicking on it and typing a comment. Save your comment by clicking anywhere in the screen or type shift+enter. The text appears on the right commenting pane for easy review.
Additionally, you can simply click 'Add Comment' at the bottom of the commenting pane to add a comment linked to the frame.
When clicking on a linked comment, the player automatically jumps to the correct frame.
Adding Comments without Specifying the Region of Interest
You can add general comments related to the entire clip without attaching it to a particular time code or a region of interest.
Click on 'Add Comment' in the commenting pane to type a comment unattached to a specific location on the video. A time code is automatically added, but to make the comment general for the entire clip, simply remove the time code as shown below.
The general comments without the timecode are shown on top of the commenting pane.
Editing or Replying to Comments
Use the applicable icons to edit or reply comments. All comments are shown in the commenting pane on the right side of the screen.
Tagging Team Members and Using Hashtags
To tag a collaborator in a comment use the @ icon. An automatic email notification is sent to the person with a direct link to the comment.
When tagging a collaborator on a comment, they receive an email notification with a link to the review of the relevant clip.
Use a hashtag # to select a topic in a list or create a new hashtag.
Hashtags can be used in the library search to efficiently retrieve clips and comments.
Using Restricted Comments
If the Restricted comments have been enabled on the workspace, it is possible to modify the security level of comments to share them with a restricted audience. Select between the following options:
- Visible to Team
- Schedule for Team-Wide Visibility
- Restricted Visibility
