Using Limecraft at the core of your production operations, you can take advantage of local storage to enable secure file exchange, remote editing, or online collaboration.

There are different ways to make sure material kept on local storage is correctly referenced by items in your Limecraft Workspace .

The first is to use Limecraft Edge to import videos and send them to Flow. If you are new to Limecraft Edge, this is a native application responsible for indexing and importing material. It can handle thousands of files at the same time and handles all common consumer and professional file formats. That is why we like to call it the Swiss army knife for data handlers. If you are interesting in finding out more about Limecraft Edge, you can read about it in detail here

The second option is to use a cloud-connector. A cloud-connector is an on-premises agent that can manage material on the local storage. It can index material, archive it, or transfer it. Note that a cloud-connector is typically only used for companies who handle large volumes in a server environment.
