Before you begin

Please note that you need access to the transcript function and you need the permissions to export transcripts. Also note that the export options are configurable; if one or more of the export options below are not directly visible, please contact your account administrator.

Exporting transcripts

First of all, check that the transcript editor is switched on using the navigation bar on top.

When using Limecraft for Automatic Speech Recognition, you can export such transcripts for further processing. This screenshot shows the different export formats including PDF, Avid ScriptSync, Microsoft Word and CSV..

At this point you can use the EXPORT function on top of the transcript editor. Upon export, you can choose either of the following export formats:

  • PDF, most suitable for printing
  • Microsoft Word, most suitable for editing
  • CSV, most suitable for using in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Avid ScriptSync, which creates a plain text (*.txt) file suitable for using in Avid Media Composer.

The transcript file will be dropped in the folder that your browser uses as download space. If one of these formats is not available, please contact your production or account admin to check the settings

Please note that currently the layout of the export is not customizable.
