Limecraft Edge is a native desktop application designed to securely handle media-intensive workflows on set, on location, or in post-production environments. It enables efficient and secure offloading, backing up and ingesting media to local storages and the collaborative Limecraft Workspace.
If you're just getting started with Edge, this article will guide you through the first steps, from downloading the software to logging in and accessing your projects.
Request Access
Limecraft Edge requires a valid licence, which is typically managed via a Team subscription. We recommend introducing Edge to your organisation in collaboration with the Limecraft team to ensure a smooth setup.
Please get in touch with your Limecraft account manager or our support team. They will guide you through the onboarding process and provide the necessary Edge licence, ensuring everything is configured correctly from the outset.
Downloading Limecraft Edge
Once you have obtained your licence, the next step is to download the application to your local device.
You can always find the latest version of Limecraft Edge within your Limecraft Workspace. Simply navigate to your User Preferences to access the download link.

Before proceeding with the installation, we recommend reviewing the hardware requirements to ensure your system is compatible.
Logging in to Edge
After downloading and installing Limecraft Edge, you're ready to log in. Here’s how:
- Enter Your Edge Licence Your licence code enables access to your assigned workspaces and ensures your user account is correctly linked.
- Log in with your Limecraft Credentials You can sign in using your Limecraft username and password, or alternatively through your Limecraft Workspace account, depending on your setup.
