The Limecraft Notification Center helps users stay informed about relevant events across their production workflows. It provides configurable alerts for items such as task completions, automated processes, review activity, and system-level events. Each user can tailor their own notification preferences and choose how alerts are delivered: via email or directly in the app. This guide explains how the Notification Center works, how to access it, and which notification types are available.

Introduction

Modern media production involves numerous parallel activities—uploads, automated transcriptions, review workflows, deliveries, and more. To help users maintain a clear overview without constantly monitoring each workspace, Limecraft introduced the Notification Center.

The Notification Center ensures users are informed when key events occur, such as a task finishing or a workflow being completed. Notifications can be delivered in-app or by email, allowing users to stay up to date wherever they are.

Importantly, notification settings are configured per user, not on the level of an account or workspace. Each team member can therefore decide which alerts are useful for them, and through which channels they prefer to receive them. The Notification Settings page lists all available event types and allows users to toggle email and in-app notifications individually.

Viewing notifications in the app

In-app notifications appear in the Notification Centre, accessible via the bell icon. This view provides a chronological overview of recent events. Items remain visible until dismissed, ensuring users never lose track of important updates.

Accessing the Notification Center

Users can access their notification settings and history directly from the Limecraft interface. Open the user menu (top-right corner of Limecraft Flow), select "Personal Settings", and open the Notifications section.

This page lists all available notification categories, each containing one or more specific event type. For each event, users can select whether they want:

    In-app notifications

    Both

Types of Notifications

Notification types are grouped by category for clarity. The list below reflects the current configuration options provided in the platform.

1. Account & User Management

For users assuming the role of Account Owner, Account Admin, or Workspace Admin, these notifications alert users about administrative or account-level activity:

    You have been invited

    Someone has been invited

Usage Threshold almost reached (as admin)

Usage Threshold almost reached (as owner)

2. Upload & Ingest

There are several methods to upload files and ingest media into Limecraft, including but not restricted to adding them in via the browser, using watch folders, or using Limecraft Edge.

This category of notifications relate to file uploads and ingest operations, helping users monitor the health and progress of their ingest pipelines without manually checking each job:

    Your Ingest Succeeded

    Any Ingest Succeeded

    Your Ingest Failed

    Any Ingest Failed

3. Review

Reviewing, verification and approval of raw material and edits are essential steps in any type of media production process.

Review notifications help track collaboration activities, helping reviewers, producers, and editors stay aligned throughout the feedback process:

    You are mentioned

    Someone replied to your comment

A comment was added on your clip

A new comment in your share

    Any new comment

4. Transcription & Translation

Limecraft offers access to built-in agents for transcription and translation, which are often part of automated operations to process large volumes of items in batch. Keeping track of the jobs that are successfully executed or those that require intervention can be a challenge.

This category of notifications indicate progress or issues in automated AI transcription workflows, which is especially valuable when handling large batches of media:

    Your Automated Transcription Completed

    Any Automated Transcription Completed

    Your Automated Transcription Failed

    Any Automated Transcription Failed

5. Subtitling & Translation

This category of notifications indicate progress or issues in AI subtitling and translation workflows, which is especially valuable when handling large batches of media.

  • Subtitle Burn-In completed
  • Subtitle Burn-In Failed
  • Your Automated Subtitling Completed
  • Any Automated Subtitling Completed
  • Your Automated Subtitling Failed
  • Any Automated Subtitling Failed
